Clement M. Matswagothata was born in Middlepits, Botswana and joined the Church at age 18. A few years later, he served the Lord in the South Africa Capetown Mission. Shortly after his mission, Clement married Busisiwe Novelty Buthelezi and they have been blessed with three beautiful daughters. Clement’s personal motto is “never too busy to serve the Lord.” A few of his callings have included serving as a bishop’s counselor, stake high counselor, bishop, and stake president.  He is currently serving as an Area Seventy in the Africa South Area.

Clement started his professional career in 2004 as car salesman Barloworld Motor Botswana. In 2008, he was promoted to General Manager for the Audi, Volkswagen Passenger & Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle brands. Clement is currently the Country Manager for NMI Durban South Motors T/A Barloworld Botswana.

Clement is committed to ongoing education and he has attended numerous Executive Training courses including at Wits Business School. In 2012, completed a Marketing degree at IMM Graduate School and is now preparing for an MBA.  Clement counsels young professionals “don’t be afraid of failure, work hard and set meaningful goals.”
