Interview

Chrispen Matsetlo lives in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. Despite living in extreme poverty, Chrispen developed a love for learning and realized that “wishing does not produce results.” Chrispen used role models and a love for the best books to create a vision for his life which he has combined with passion and persistence. Following his service in the Zimbabwe, Harare Mission, he practiced the doctrine taught by Joseph Smith that “…faith is the principle of ACTION and Power…”  He is currently serving in a stake presidency (first counselor) which was preceded by service as a bishop, stake YM president and other callings.

Chrispen is the managing director of CHRISROSE ENTERPRISES (PVT) Ltd, where he and his wife merchandise cell phone, computers, accessories and fashionwear. Over the past ten years and during very challenging economic times in Zimbabwe, they have grown their business and now operate three branches. He and his wife (Primrose) have been married for twelve years and are the parents of three boys. He is currently enrolled in BYU-PathwayConnect and is working towards an Applied Business Management degree. Chrispen believes “the future is a bright as our faith.”
