Mark Leck
Entrepreneur/Technology
Interview
Mark Leck is a business and technology leader and entrepreneur with deep experience creating and building successful organizations and products. He is self-described as a product-CEO and has founded/co-founded half a dozen currently operating companies that have individual leadership and management teams. Mark attended BYU as an EE (Electrical Engineering) major. The first company he co-founded after returning from serving a mission in Melbourne, Australia was REDX, a real estate SaaS technology company that helps residential real estate agents generate increased sales. As REDX’s business continued to grow, the number of credits Mark had time to take at BYU declined.
Green Seed Technologies is his primary umbrella corporation or conglomerate. It owns REDX, WAVV – his communications company, Storyy- his social media content logistic company, and several other businesses. These businesses support the United Angels Foundation, a non-profit he started when his daughter was born with Down Syndrome that supports parents and families of individuals with special needs.
Green Seed’s purpose as a tech incubator is to develop and launch profitable businesses with amazing cultures, that create meaningful employment opportunities for people within our community, and leverage technology and sound business principles to create long-term sustainability. However, unlike most tech incubators, they focus on a small number of companies and primarily work on internally focused Green Seed initiatives.
Mr. Leck was born in Canada, grew up in Northern California, lived in Australia for 5 years. Outside of work: Mark is an avid pilot, and loves skiing, amateur radio, dirt biking, scuba diving, skeet and trap shooting, and ice hockey. He lives in Springville, Utah with his wife, Amber, and their five children.
