Dale S. Richards

Dale is a professional certified valuator (CVA) and business consultant specializing in management, marketing, technology commercialization, and corporate finance strategies. He has spent 40 years consulting with 150+ businesses/universities on turn around management initiatives, certified business valuations, technology commercialization and optimization projects. He has managed the commercialization of 50+ University developed technologies.  

Mr. Richards is a founder of 30 technology companies; where his leadership helped guide them to successful mergers with larger entities.  Mr. Richards’ productivity enhancement and leadership methods have guided clients to 2X-3X improved revenue, profits and value.  One client with losses of $500,000 per year was turned around to achieve profits of over $2 million per year in 18 months.  He has turned around 100+ companies. Dale is a Vistage International Chair and an International Speaker with 300+ speeches to executives in 35 states and 7 countries.

Particular financing work has been with institutional, Small Business Administration (SBA), SBIR/STTR grants, Venture Capital and private investors.  Dale has managed tax filings, financial reporting and company financial strategies for many clients during this period.

Mr. Richards has, over the past 25+ years, had executive management experience as CEO, President and Board of Director in marketing, engineering and administration areas.  His management experience includes sales, marketing, engineering, finance, customer relations, power plant operations, quality assurance, business creation and product development.  He had six years as a director in business development for a local utility in which he screened, designed, developed, implemented and managed new businesses, products, and services. Five subsidiaries were formed through this program. Mr. Richards has helped universities commercialize technology for fifteen years improving license value and/or started a company, time to market and probability of success.  He has helped those entities raise $500 million in capital. 

Mr. Richards has served as Chairman of the Board & President of Mountain West Capital Network, a Board member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Board member of National Association for Corporate Directors, the Utah sub-Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association  and past Chairman of a local $30 million company

Mr. Richards has consuled for Venture Capital.org with funding Conferences held in Utah, Hawaii, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, and New York.  He has been a mentor for30 years.
