John Russ

Retired USAF and United Parcel Service (UPS) pilot

John is a retired USAF and airline (UPS) pilot. He currently serves in a variety of volunteer positions with
his church and in the community.

In the Air Force, he served as a pilot and instructor in the T-37, F-111, and A-10 aircraft. He deployed
the Middle East on multiple occasions in support of Operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch, and
Enduring Freedom. As a civilian, he flew the B-757 and B-767 domestically for UPS Airlines but spent
most of his career flying internationally on the B-747. He retired as a captain in 2024.

John received a BS in Astronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, and Master Degrees
from Air University and Texas Tech.
